I Believe in Make Believe

To our patrons,

Here at the Cardinal Theatre the health and safety of our patrons, students and teachers are of our upmost concern. Amidst the spread of the Covid-19 virus we have decided to cancelled all IN PERSON performances for the first semester of the 2020 season. At this time we are uncertain of what the rest of our 2020-21 theatre season holds, but we hope to be able to return to live theatre as soon as the health guidelines deem it appropriate. Until that time, we will be filming our productions and premiering them on demand on our originally scheduled opening weekend. The TWHS Theatre program is fully self supported through ticket sales and donations. We hope that when you tune in to watch our show you would consider donating as well.

As a theatre we want to thank the community for your love and support during these unknown times and hope to be able to reopen our doors soon.

a play by Jane Martin

A young woman tests her Christian faith by handling poisonous snakes. A baton twirler sees the face of Jesus 30 feet in the air. A destitute woman wants to live in McDonald’s, where the sick are cured by Big Macs and nobody dies. A housewife escapes to Oz every day. These are just a few of the stories in Talking With . . . by Jane Martin, a unique collection of monologues by marvelous characters, who come together in an unforgettable theatrical event. They make us laugh and they make us think. And even when their challenges and crises appear larger than life, the characters embody universal issues: unbearable loneliness, crises of confidence, bereavement, loss of hope and struggles with faith.

Premiere Date: February, 2021
